I got my PPR on March 08,2012 and sent my PPs to LVO who got them on 13-03-2012 from Dubai. Does anyone have the same timeline and waiting for his/her PPs?
Thanks for U guys who gave me full support @ every step and for those who created this awesome platform where V can share/discuss/clear our confusion and even misunderstanding about different points.
I recommend those who are thinking to apply for Canadian Immigration, NOT to go for consultancy service and get your points cleared on prompt and free of charge basis.
Hi Janathan,
In any GCC country there is nothing called PR.
Only options are getting Visit Visa.
Employment visa thru a company where the rules are different and many get ban of 6 months if contract is not completed etc etc
Residence visa renewable if u meet the salary criteria to sponsor ur wife.
NO CITIZENSHIP & NO PR no matter u have stayed here for 40 or 50 yrs.
People who have minted enough here staying 10 yrs and above are moving out for the future of their kids.
So if its recession in Canada or not does not make any difference. Most of the Gulf applicants have a good background for support and if things do not work in Canada as per their plans they can come back here and will be accepted due to their vast Gulf experience.
So giving a try is not a futile effort.

Guys I'm a nob and now found this topic interesting,
I need some assistance people;
well my question is what is the average processing time for a CSQ holder to get the PR.
we are a family of 3 and our application just been received today at Sydney in Canada and due to the Canadian Immigration legistaltion, the processing time have changed and I wonder if this has changed in our favour (Applicants) or this will drag our processing time.
Is there anyone here who applied under the old system (before 2008)? I just joined this thread and I would appreciate it if you drop me a message if you have applied in 2007 (as my sister). I just would like to know what is your application status?
I am losing hope. I send my documents in July' 2010 and have not received any update from CIS. I asked my consultant to order CAIPs and still not sure, if they have done so. Any suggestion how to find out about it ??????
It basically suggests that the new guidelines for FSW applicants about to be released would have a new point system, with emphasis on younger applicants, with high education credentials, and very high reading and writing skills in English. They must also be in NOCs that are in great demand, meaning they can get a job immediately...
Here is my concern, the news release states:
"change would allow new regulations, once approved, to apply retrospectively to people who have already submitted an application. "
This would mean that the new point system and its requirements would apply to all those who have submitted applications in previous years as well, in effect thousands of applications will be denied because they would not qualify. Only the few, with the above mentioned qualifications, will get through.
