What actually worked for me, as another forum member very helpfully recommended yesterday, was to change status to single. When we applied for a TRV the PA was single at the time, so that UCI is still tied to a single status.
I was also stuck for 2 days and finally got it working today after a lot of wondering what it could be.
I also tried the single with my TRV UCI.. I tried 2 for the amount of persons on the application as also 4 as I have 2 non accompanying dependents but nothing I do wrks.

Our parents sponsorship application got transfered to local visa office in April this year.
Can it be that the file hasn't been opened by them yet and not entered into the system, thus not found in MyCIC when I try to link?

Are you the PA? You should be using the PA's UCI. Also, other suggested, which is a good point, put in either passport details or city & country of birth, not both.
So generally speaking now, do we continue to check both ecas and MyCIC? If one is updated, would the other also reflect similar info? Does one get updated before the other?

I am trying to link my husband's application (PA), however it's not linking for whatever reason. Anyways, I called CIC this morning. The agent said once the file has been transferred among other correspondence (like AOR and SA) the file should be available to link.
