regarding the photos... i guess i will write names at the back since we are 4 dependents, just to avoid confusion. Also, there's a note at the bottom page2 of IMM0008... "Photos must have been taken within the past 6 months and must be identified by writing the family member's name and date of birth at the back of the photo." I'll just make it sure of the pen that I will use won't smudge...
Hi! I didn't receive any email about my AIP but when I checked my ECAS on June 19 it already shows In Process and says We started processing your application on June 16,2014. Does that mean that I am already Approved in Principle? Do you think the email was just delayed? Thanks

cheer up! nothing to worry about..."No record on file" is for 1st time applicants like what the nbi officer told you. "No derogatory record" means he has a clean record while if it stated "no criminal record", it means he has a civil record which will need a written explanation.

AIP June 2014
I have some issues that need answers please. if someone can help me please.
1. I got my AIP but no medical forms attached for my husband. Should I call them to ask for it? Does it usually comes together with AIP?
2. My husband was approved of his tourist visa and will about to book his ticket already but I told him to wait for his medical forms. Can he make his medical here in Canada? Or advisable to do it in Philippines?
3. If he is already here in Canada as a tourist, should we inform the immigration of his change of address ? Will it make the PR processing for both of us faster? He can stay here for 6 months and renewable for another 6 months.

I am also one of those who received an AIP without a medical request. I have asked around and they told me that CIC usually send a medical request. BTW i have a non accompanying dependent so i guess i dont need a medical as they say it is only a random selection for LC1

I have already paid my PR fee at the time i filed my PR application because a friend of mine told me that it is better to pay the PR fee at the time you submit your PR as they will assess it faster.
Here is the link http://www.cic.gc.ca/English/information/fees/index.asp. Select category Permanent Residence. Then select category Right of permanent residence fee - paying from inside Canada if you are paying it here in Canada.
