Landing on Saturday!!!! -List of Goods to follow Question

In addition to the visa and the form consulate sent me I'm supposed to have a list of goods I have with me (only vacation type stuff as we are visiting the mother-in-law and returning to the US to settle our affairs) and a list of goods to follow. How extensive does this list have to be? For example, can I say kitchen supplies, or do I have to count the spoons? Should I be specific about the big items like cars and heirlooms and electronics and general about other goods. Help me out here!!!
