Friends, with God's grace I have landed a job in Canada before I have travelled. I am just over the moon.
Apologies, cannot share too many details before I land and join on 1st October. I just wanted to post this so that it'll encourage everyone to keep searching job sites endlessly even if you do not receive any responses initially. I applied through various job sites like workapolis.com and monster.ca.

Guys, all I did was, update my resume and posted to 100s of postings on different job sites especially workapolis.com. Did that everyday.
I applied for immigration on the basis of my experience in the hotel industry but my expertise is in business development & transitioning businesses from onsite to offshore locations in outsourcing. I was in luck that this company was looking to set something up in India and the needed someone for business development in Canada- so it just clicked. Thank God for that!
Today I got my PR Card. Man they have changed these cards they have got a photo hologram now and the quality has gone bad its more slim, any ways I am very happy. It took almost 45 days for the PR to come after landing.
As mentioned before I landed on 20th may 2010. Not got PR card till now..................today it becomes 55days (almost 8 weeks).
what should I do???????????

PR cards are issued in Nova Scotia CPC and then mailed to the applicants. Where do you stay. Do not worry wait a bit more and it shall come. I know it causes worry as you become grounded and except to get travel documents you cannot travel outside Canada. Do not worry it will come and thanks for the wishes.
I had been to Canada for two weeks with my family to complete the landing formalities. Now I am back and joined my old job. I just want to know whether we can ask our relatives (Address where the PR card with arrive) to post/courier the card to me? Or is this illegal?
