Hi,
I start this thread for software developers who hoping to land in Canada. And also those who have already landed.
Before we make the move, we need to get some certifications which would be recognized over there. And we would also need to get our qualification assessed by some Canadian Authority.
I welcome all the software developers to share your input on
1) what kind of certifications we can get before landing
2) How can we get our qualifications and experience assessed by a Canadian professional body
Please contribute
Thanks
ruka
Yes I did ask the same questions... looking forward for answers. Btw what do you specialize in?
Yeah true .......
I too posted the same in job seekers' section - but ... not many people contributed.
I wonder why ?
I specialize in
C++ back end programming (on solaris/linux)
What about you. Have you got any idea of any certification?
thanks

I also do back-end programming but in mainframe (COBOL/DB2 mostly)
Try creating a resume in Monster.ca. with your knowledge and skill set you can land a job. A benefit of being an software developer is that no matter wherever you go the work is the same and the salary is more i guess. Keep trying.
