Do people actually call IRCC to learn this? Ahead of getting confirmation where their application has been sent?

What is the value of knowing which Visa Office is processing your request?

The visa office was stated in our sponsorship approval letter which location it was sent to. In our case Warszawa, Poland. I guess if you needed to make an inquiry with the IRCC web form, you could tell them the visa office and it might make things quicker to track down your file.

When was your application received and when did you receive SA?
My file will also be transferred to Warsaw

Mine was received on June 3, AOR1 on Aug 4. SA on Aug 12.

It gets stated in a PDF in an email your spouse have received, the SA (Sponsor/Sponsorship Approval) one. It will say:
'The Application for Permanent Residence for your Relative(s) will be forwarded to the visa office in ______________ for further processing.'

The value of this is something you should add yourself... a couple examples are: 'to learn how long the process might take, if you need to attend the office for an interview (if requested) I am sure that's where you need to go since they are processing your application.'

The nearest VO for the Netherlands will either be London, UK or Vienna, Austria.

Nope. Due to covid, they are returning applications through email as well.

Based on what you know and what I see, is it safe to book for medical against Oct 30? If IRCC responds by asking for medicals to be done, say third week of October, it will be difficult to get a date in Nigeria in 2021. So we are trying to check the trend and book for Oct 30. What do you think?

My application was received on 24th June. Got my AOR earlier today on 21st August. Just an AOR, no Medical or Biometric request.

Got my AOR August 19 and same no Med and bio request and Sponsor approval yet. Hopefully, we'll receive it next week.
