That is not application return. Mine was returned and it was the actual package that was mailed back to my house and not an email. Maybe IRCC wants you to clarify something. I am my spouse repesentative because I used my Canadian address as mailing address.

you will need the resubmit the application with the use of representative form. Since you are in canada you are acting as the representative for your spouse.
Hi @ventu and sorry that your application was returned. If you don't mind I've a couple questions:
1. When did you send your application to Sydney?
2. Was it returned by mail (standard paper) or by email?
I had the same issue previously and based on my understanding if you are applying from within Canada you need to act as the representative for your spouse if you are not otherwise appointing one. The same fee receipt should be used when resubmitting.

Thanks! We're both outside Canada and I'm appointed as a representative. Our app hasn't been returned, they're saying it's still in the data entry stage. Hope for the best
