They are also in the process of removing the dependent from the file. They just received the Police Certificate from UK.

This has caused delays in the process.

What does it mean- removing dependant from the file. We’re they accompanying or non-accompanying dependant?

It is non-accompanying dependant. He had a daughter who never met and has no relationship with.

I feel like we’re being punished for trying to do the right thing and having the dependent on the application ( as immigration heavily suggests)- it surely makes the processing slower...

Yes still waiting! Submitted pcc end of June 2019, a month before their listed due date on the website and they haven’t updated anything!!! I didn’t even know whether or not the background check had started. Emailed IRCC using the web form and they replied saying that third party is conducting the check and that our application falls in the 20% that take longer to process bla bla bla

What are your case details? When did you last get an update? Did you have to submit medical and pcc again?

We had even gotten the pre arrival services letter in May..and took that to be a good sign..bt it’s September and no update.

We received no update after sending the last set of documents end of June 2019. Kept waiting and waiting..then finally contacted IRCC via web form and they informed that background check is being done by third party. No idea when it started. The Ecas website still has the document request as the latest update!!

Just hoping we don’t have to submit another medical..it has been quite a costly process!!!

PA is from Pakistan, resident of Qatar though. Pcc was required from Qatar. I’m assuming the nationality has something to do with the delay, as well as the London VO being notorious for delays and backlog.

I noticed only few cases get done on time there. background check is so long....... I was also requested new pcc and submitted in August 29, let’s see how long it will take.... have a feeling to be nominated in those 20%. Again, nothing we can do, but wait....

but if third party is processing our bckground check they should have their specific time frame .lVO has no right to contact them and ask for a reason in delay of file ?
