Depends on processing office. Seeing movements after 2 months of AOR is pretty normal. Things move fast after that.

i am worried that I haven’t received any update on my application. I submitted on July 18, 2024. The last update I received is my AOR on July 29. I tried to call IRCC but the line was cut off. Is this delay normal?

For Vancouver this is pretty normal. Where are you located?

Citizenship test window updated Sept 13 for September 27 to October 26. Can I take the test before receiving the official invite?

You will receive the official invite few days before your test start date. If not, you can call IRCC before 6 days of your test start date if you didn't receive by then.

Do we need a guarantor for the passport application? Does he/she has to be Canadian citizen only?
Can someone please guide here. At what stage of the citizenship application would you need a guarantor. Also please confirm if they have to visit in person with you to sign at Service Ontario/service.

I personally don't know any Canadian citizen. So i was wondering whom to ask for signing it if required.

Appreciate it.

If you're applying for a Canadian passport, you need a guarantor. If you have a family doctor, you can ask them to be your guarantor otherwise you need to go to the nearest Service Canada and ask for a Statutory Declaration in Lieu of Guarantor form. You can't google and print it online, you need the printout from them.
I hope this helps.

Processing Center: Scarborough (got to know from test invite)
Applied: July 1
AOR: July 16
Test Window: Sept 13 to oct 12
Passed the test: September 15

Did anyone else struggle to take a clear picture of their ID during the test? It took me a long time to upload a non-blurry picture. How strict are they about it? And how long do they take to upload in the tracker?

It's been a consistent issue for a lot of people. I had the same problem, but my test got completed without any issue.

My spouse received an identity request email twice! The ID was sent the first time and after a week, another email was sent asking to send a photo ID to verify identity again. Make sure you always check your email. Test completion was just updated a couple of days ago.

My wife had similar issues where it was completely blurred but her test was marked complete. So, you should be good is what I believe.
