Hello, i just received automatic email for download certificate digitally. But tracker oath not started. How long it will take?
How come the certificate is available for download and the oath is not taken yet?
I thought the sequence is as follows:
- Tracker is updated with oath ceremony date
- IRCC sends afterward an email with details and invitation to attend ceremony and take the oath
- certificate is available after oath is taken
Is my understanding correct?
I just spoke with the IRCC agent on the phone and she advised me that she thinks my application is non-routine and as such could take time. I applied on July 21st and was never requested for finger prints or any other additional documents. Everything is completed for me except prohibitions. I have been waiting for prohibitions for more than 2 months now. I guess I'll just be waiting forever. The whole process is very random and unfair.

In some cases the details of account needed to download certificate is sent before your oath is about to be scheduled.

Thanks for clarification. Tracker will be updated first in all cases, right?

I also received it today with no updates to my tracker. I assume our application is approved and they are now scheduling our ceremony, which should show in the system soon.

Not for me. I got the letter and created an account, but my tracker has not yet been updated.
I can access my account now, but the letter says the certificate will only be available there after the ceremony, so I think it's normal for the link to the certificate to be sent before the ceremony is concluded or even scheduled.

No. Oath will be scheduled within a week of the email. This is a special case. Not everyone will experience it.

so basically, first thing to wait for soonest the LPP is complete, is the oath email from IRCC.
Tracker is updated afterward, if updated at all.
Correct?

Correct?

1) Tracker is updated with Oath date
2) Oath event detail email is received
3) Citizenship certificate download instruction email is received

thank you for the clarification.
By the way, I have another question
When LPP turns green, that is to say all LPP+BG are green, it means decision is made right?
When decision is made, in most case it means the oath ceremony is what comes next and just a matter of logistics/scheduling?
Thank you in advance and excuse my ignorance.

Interesting… did you sign up using the same email you used for citizenship app submission? Do we really need to resignup?

As I understand decision made is when Oath is scheduled in the tracker not the greens on your prerequisite phases.
And yes only Oath scheduling is remaining. Congrats and good luck!
Hi there,
I have been scheduled for citizenship oath on december 2025.
Is it normal it is that far?
I'm wondering if:
1. background check and prohibitions waiting on fp (all else green) means after they finally receive fp this will automatically update?
2. what to do since fp was done in November (during the strike), and no news since. I've sent a web form with confirmation rcnp received the fp so that itcc know it was done but I'm worried that this length of time between now and when fp was done is negatively impacting the application. Is it possible that after 90 days pass and they still don't receive the fp they will cancel/reject the whole application? technically I've complied with the order to take it within 30 days (and confirmed by showing them the confirmation via webform), but I'm worried it's taking so long. Will they send me another fp request or do I wait indefinitely? what if it got lost in the mail during the strike and the fp never reach them?
