Hi. Last week I got an update that I should take a citizenship test between September 30 and October 21.

When should I get instructions on how to schedule the test? I am worried about missing an e-mail from IRCC because I haven't gotten any email regarding my AOR. Thank you

For cases processed by Ottawa office, what status are you in now?
My background check finished on Mar 9th, no update since then

Hi, BG check completed in February and test completed mid June and nothing since. I look through the other tracking sheets and have seen some people progress in the last few weeks and receive decision made (from January and February) so at least there is life in the Ottawa office. From my calculations though you should have a test invite a few months ago at least but then the test to DM might just happen for you quicker since your test seems to be really late.

You can take the test on any day and at any time within the test window.

Update for my application: received July 07 2020, AOR Oct 30 2020, In Process Jan 07 2021, Test invite May 20 2021, Test May 23 2021, Decision Made Sep 17 2021. Still waiting for the letter

Just to update you @rajkamalmohanram . We received a reply from Kitchener office today saying that they "put both of us in queue for test" and that once we took the test " we need to reply to the email they sent us so that they can process everything else urgently" Thanks again for your help.

Hey raj, what’s the probability of UP request being approved if you receive an email from IRCc saying they have sent your information to Local office? And have verified the urgent processing info you provided?

I received that email and got denied UP. That email means nothing

the email is a good sign that officer from local office is reviewing your request. If you have supporting docs, it will be approved. @anton1990 in your case, your supporting docs were not convincing that's why it was denied. Good luck

Do they ask for additional documents or just give the decision based on what you have attached already with your request?

In our case, they approved it immediately. However, some officers call to request some additional docs or info. It depends in your situation. Stay positive.
