My Application status is now "In Process"
Application Received- July 20.
Location- Scarborough ON.

Hi. When it says 'in progress', how can we know which local office is the application sent to? In GTA area there are multiple offices (Scarborough, Etobicoke, etc.)

I don't think it is possible unless you called them. I called them this week and they confirmed my application is in processing but still at Sydney! not my local office. So I am not sure how this is even possible because processing starts at local offices.

Just call again. The same thing happened to me, last week they told me there is no application number. This week they gave me my application number. Ecas status is "Received". Good luck

Yeah after calling them again this week they provided the application number.

Yes same thing happened to me, I called them last week and they did not give me my application number. I got Exactly same response as you.

Call them again now and they should be able to give you the application number now. Good Luck !

Thank you. I called CIC and they confirmed, they have my file but not AOR yet. they asked me to wait for sometime to see the updates from CIC.

criminality checks and security check are done at Sydney office. I called yesterday and I was told that criminality and security checks are being done on my app at Sydney office. Once they are done, then your app is transferred to local office for eligibility checks and test invite.

No it means that it has just started.

the lady on call told me that when criminality checks are completed, only then file is transferred to local IRCC office and then the status changes to In process

I have Question if i am outside of country during process ? Is it okay ? Would these days are count in my application.. i am 80% sure it should not affect.. because i qualified in Apr 2020 but i only apply citizenship in July 2020 Just to to get a month or two more in my application

The ircc only informed me that i can give online test only in canada though..

Any thoughts will be great thank you ?

You will have to maintain your PR Status till your Oath, and yes, you will have to give the test in Canada.
