I received AOR by regular mail few days ago, even though I called CIC in January to confirm my AOR, back then i was given application number and confirmed my email as a preferred method of correspondence. I was also told that I was in queue to receive AOR email within the next two weeks. Two months later I received AOR by regular mail lol i mean...

Yeah unfortunately this whole citizen application process is very painful and very slow experience overall :/

Did you check ecas? You might not receive an AOR but the application might be received/in process already

Just checked, you are correct!
AOR sent 17th Dec/2020 (but yet not received!)
Start to processing: 14th January/2021

Hi,

One of my friend who applied in Dec 2019 with his family (Husband, wife & 2 children) received an email from Mississauga office stating that the decision is made for his minor children and if he don't want them to be in Oath Ceremony then send their PR cards to IRCC to get citizenship certificates. If he wants them to be included in the Oath Ceremony then wait for test & oath request which may take some time.

You will receive an email

On ecas there will be a new line something like "we sent you correspondence..."

I do not think lots of people get it. This is based of spreadsheet

Hi guys, I am working on my citizenship forms. Do I need to get Police Clearance again from the country I immigrated from ?

It says online
"In the past 4 years, were you in a country or territory other than Canada for 183 days or more in a row (since the age of 18)?"

I have been in Canada for 3.5 years. I immigrated from Kuwait on Jul'17. So technically I was in Kuwait way more than 183 days, but that was my country of origin. I submitted police clearance back than while applying for PR. Do i need to get it again or not ?
Please let me know about it. thanks,

Did you go back and stayed in kuwait > 183 days after becoming PR (after landing) ? If yes then you need a PC else no.

I did twice , but for only 45 days. But confusing part is the 0.5 year time out of the total 4 years when i was not even a PR.

Hi All..My application was received on July 24 2020 and they started processing on Jan 20 ,2021 as per ECAS.
What timeline should I expect for test date ?

It's going super slooooooow Not even January recieved tests invites. I have feeling that this online tests are going slower than regular one.

If we gonna have citizenship before Christmas then we would be lucky :/ But for now 2022 looks more realistic

Unless some miracle will happened but i lost hope long time ago. So prepare for very long waiting.
