I think it depends on the amount of applications they're handling, first time I sent my application they answered in one month and a half, second time in 17 days, and the last time, I received the AOR in a month and a half.
Hello, fellow Brit here, being sponsored by my Canadian husband. Applied for inland with my OWP, submitted on the 26th of July. Nice to see others in the same boat.
Trying to get private insurance and update my resume in anticipation of my OWP.
The CIC timing checker says an open work permit takes 6 weeks to arrive, but all the advice on here seems to point to a minimum of 4 months.
If you are applying for it on paper (which you will be if you’ve sent it with you’re PR application) then it will take 3-4 months. With regards to your health insurance, it really depends on your situation but if you have an AOR that can be satisfactory enough to get a provincial health insurance providing you meet certain criteria. Check up on it, it might save you a lot of hassle.
Hello everyone, I have a question about the UCI. I am the primary applicant, and we received the AOR in my husband's email, naturally the UCI in the mail is his, so I want to know how can I find out mine because we have to enter and inquiry through Web form because they made a mistake with my given name, and in the web form they ask for the applicant's UCI. I checked my visitor record application to see if I could find it there, and there's a UCI number of 8 digits, which made me very confused, because my husband's is 10 digits. Is this 8 digits UCI the correct one? Please help!
