Have you tried linking your app within an online account using your name/passport info? Curious to see if they opened your file yet

I read that it only works after they start to process the application.

EP numbers are case numbers assigned to the case so you can check your status online. It is basically a case number.

You only get it once they email you with AOR
I send a web form two weeks ago and they gave me a temporary XEP number instead, saying my application hasn’t been opened yet. Maybe try that! They might have the EP number by now for you?
