Update done.
Yes. You should be receiving an email with all the details but it's always better to check your ecas every now and then as I saw cases for peope who didn't receive the email and they knew only from their ecas.
Conversely, I received test invitation email on Dec 24, 2019 and my ecas status is still not updated as of Jan 3, 2020! It's stuck on line 3 (We started processing your application on October 16, 2019.) So, you can expect anything from IRCC.
Interview : Asked for International passport and compared the stamped date in and out of the country with copy physical presence form with her. Also asked me for PR card, Health Card and Driver licence and about my work. Then I signed a form just to confirmed that everything is correct. Proof of English not requested for maybe because I studied in Canada. She later says Congratulations that they will send me an email concerning my Oath and Ceremony.
Hello everyone, does anyone know how long does it take for RCMP to send the Fingerprint documents to CIC. And if in case, there are delays by the RCMP then how can cic be able to accommodate. Thanks.
We used Commissionaires in Hamilton for my wife. They printed electronically and it automatically sends to RCMP for processing. The officer in the Commissionaires office then notifies CIC via e-mail that the prints have been completed and sent off, he took a copy of the notification to extract the reference number's needed for CIC to identify the application. Note, should take a couple of weeks maximum but can take less time as longs as their are no flags. CIC won't process complete your application without the RCMP check complete.
Received test invitation. Please update the spreadsheet.
Application sent: July 20
AOR - Oct 04 Test Invite letter - Dec 31 Test Interview date - Jan 23
quick question, how long its taking as per current timelines, to get invitation for oath and the Canadian passport ?
It honestly varies, we completed our test on Nov 8th, we were informed to expect an invitation between 4 to 8 weeks after the test date. ECAS still says "in process" and we have received nothing yet. Other's on the site seem to have DM quickly then wait months and others get DM and quick invites. If you are able to hold dual Citizenship then it might make sense to renew if you are concerned.

There is a study guide available from CIC, you can request it to be posted to you and/or it is available online. This is the only official study guide available from CIC. There are other online resources available, see one of the threads posted earlier.
I live in Burlington. Most probably my file will be assigned to Hamilton office. There's a case for someone whose Hamilton office who received his FP request mid October and he's received his test invite 10 days ago. It's progressing but very slowly.

Like the pals here said, not everyone receives FP requests. From my personal observation, if you don't get it within 2 months from being "in process", that means that most probably you won't be asked for one, and that you will directly get your test invite.
I'm also from Halton, got in process on Nov 6th and got my FP request on Nov 25th.
Hi All
My wife and I have got test date of 16th Jan in Toronto 1:30 pm.
Can people who have already taken the test advise
1. At what time we should reach the test center to have sufficient time to go over the document verification process before the test.
2. I applied for my 6 yr old child as well in the same application set whose application status still shows processing. Do I need to take my child also with her documents for verification or not required as she has not been invited. I am aware she is not required to write test but want to know about her documents verification with parents.
Plz advise
