Just a general question! As of current trend, how long does it take from first step to last step (I mean from sending application and receiving passport).
I think the system works like this:
01- They receive physical application packages and put a date tag on them and then put them on a queue
02- After a month (4 to 5 weeks) they open packages and check them for completeness (check if any document is missing based on checklist) if package is not complete then return in to applicant and if it is complete put it on another queue
03- After 60 to 70 days after receive date they import all application's (form) data into their system and make a new electronic version of application and issue AOR with application number. If any part of form is incomplete again they return the application to applicant.
04- They send physical application to the local case processing office and when application received by them and they start to work on application "In process message" appears in ECAS system.
05- All remaining steps like requesting finger print, taking test, making decision, oath ceremony happens in local case processing office.
I don't know the answer for the first question, but for the second the average time is about 40 days.
From the spreadsheet, March applicants: 41 days, April applicants: 43 days, May applicants: 34 days (but there are a lot of people around 50 days as well).
ECAS doesn't show office processing your application but if they ask for finger print, it shows where do you have to send the result. The time between AOR and In Process depends on your local case processing office and their backlog. As Sylvain1 said, it can be happened from 1 day to 50 days after AOR.

I was so nervous that I didn't send both pages of my Presence Calculator but I guess I did as they did not return my application since Jul 18. So I'm just hoping and waiting for my AOR to come this week or next
Was it a duplicate post? And by that I mean, had you posted the same thing twice in another thread? Usually, admin deletes duplicate posts, I know because it has happened to me before.
