Hello everyone, I am a July 13th applicant. We have not received any form of correspondence from the Sydney office yet, I phoned the call center yesterday for the 2nd time. We were helped by a very polite lady. She told us yesterday that no news is good news and that our file have not been returned yet. She also said that the applicants around the same time as ours could expect a reply in the next 2 weeks, if not then we should call again. Any of you maybe in the same boat? My fiancee is a Canadian citizen and I am a South-African and we are both living outside of Canada and have a applied for PR based on common law

You are not alone. Our application was received on July 24 and we haven't heard anything since. I was also able to talk to someone this week for the second time. She said to wait. I am not sure what happened with July applications and how immigration decided to handle the change of processing centers, from Mississauga to Sydney, but it appears that once they issue the AOR things start moving pretty quick, so let's hope that this is just a delay to begin the process, but that overall it takes 12 months or less

July 10th, Yet to get AR1, called 2.5 weeks ago and the guy on the line told to wait, that the demand was registered in system and was not or would not be returned. Ill try to give it an other call today and see if something changed or is wrong

Received a mail on Oct 19 that my file was transferred to CPC-M and the letter has date Oct 9.

No update after that anyone in the same situation?

Hey! You're still waiting as well eh? We're on the same boat. Don't worry. A July 6 application just got their BGC yesterday and then their pre-arrival, DM, and PPR today. Theirs got forwarded to CPC-M too.

July 9 applicant. To the glory of God we finally got AOR 1 today. I woke up to meet the email--best way to wake up ever! Ecas shows they started processing our application just yesterday. I hope everyone gets there's too. Hang in there guys
