I just saw my PPR letter from NDVO, today 31st December 2018.
All details are in my signature.
I emailed NDVO once I knew they were sending PPRS to approved files despite not being Indian. I'm Nigerian. So I'm going to sort out the change of LVO for passport submission today.
It's good news, finally!
UPDATE
I got a new PPR today from Ottawa after my request to change LVO for passport submission on the 31st of December. it took about 56 hours (2 working days + time difference) discounting the January 1st non working day.
I've updated my signature with all the details.

For anyone that passed the 6 months mark and called CIC to know the reasons: what was their response? Did they give any further details, or give a new due date?
I just want to know what to expect when I call them on Jan 16, the day after my 6 months ends. It is likely that my security had 'not started' since October...

So they will ask me to submit RCMP copy? I guess It would not be possible to submit now. There is no way to submit additional document until they ask...
or are they doing by themselves?

though my 6 months due date is Jan.14, I've been trying to call them for last couple of days. The auto mode would say because of high volume of calls we are not able to place you in a que. Try next time.
I've tried different timings but same response. It's like they are not back from Christmas holidays

I was just wondering, if it was possible for to create a forum, where 2/3 people moving at the same time, can pair up to rent a 2/3 bedroom in downtown toronto( the cost burden is a lot lesser). Don't know if this is the best forum for this? @tobs... What do you think?
Mine is around Jan 13th. During 6 month of time, I tried to pull info over the phone.
Both the agents were almost rude in answering the question. Not helpful at all. I would say it depends on agent. I guess they are already frustrated from calls - ask same question again
