One problem I can think of is if you did not fill out the additional form where he appoints a representative (ej. you the sponsor) then they may not allow you to act on "his behalf".. Maybe you can rectify this when you receive the case # and option to upload docs/add and modify information.

I filled out the authorization form, but not the representative one.

Question for july applicants for the document checklist do you just print one or 2 sets? one for sponsor and one for PA? im confused on how to organize all the forms can i just put them in one folder? or separate sponsor, pa, and proof? what goes with what?

I made 3 seperate. One for sponsor, one for pa, and one for proof. I left the reciept amd document checklist and passport photos outside of an envelope and ontop of the 3 envelopes inside of one big one. Hope that makes sense. I included a cover letter with a list of everything inside of each envelope. I know others have just put it in order of the checklist in one big envelope though too. I don't think it matters much if you use 3 or 1.

I just realized on the Generic Application, instead of my husband address, telephone, and email address, I wrote my own address, telephone, and email address because it would have taken a long time if they had to try to contact him instead of me. do you guys know if that is going to be problematic? His address is on the additional family form.

Put the checklist on top then fee receipt then barcode pages n application forms then sponsor's document then PAs documrnts then proof of relationship! I hope it makes sense

Hi we're joining this July thread. We sent our application last July 12, 2017 in Mississauga and it arrived there July 14, 2017. We just relied on canada post's update cuz we weren't able to subscribe to their text notification.

Is there a way we can get a hold of our application status without having received any update/email from them yet? Just to confirm if they have it qued. Thanks so much!
