Application Submitted : February 27
Biometrics Requested : February 28
Biometrics Submitted at VFS Mumbai : March 13
Biometrics Acknowledgement : March 15

Passport Requested : March 15
Status Changed to Approved Online : March 15

Passport Submitted : March 19

Waiting for Passports to get back.

Since then its showing "processing background check". It has been more than 4 weeks now. Anyone faced such situation before?

What does "Biometrics Acknowledgement" look like? Was this simply an update in the profile online or a special letter like the Biometrics Request Letter?

I submitted my folk's application on the same day- Feb the 27th as well- in Delhi Office though.

Biometrics Submitted at VFS Delhi Father : March 5
Visitor Acknowledgement Letter: March 12
Biometrics Submitted at VFS Delhi Mother : March 5 then again on March 14 (she was asked for repeat biometrics)
Biometrics Update on their profiles: March 16 (Both of their biometrics show a validity of 10 years online)

Passport Requested : Waiting
Status Changed to Approved Online : Waiting
Passport Submitted : Waiting

It's a proper letter in the MyCIC account - saying biometrics are valid for 10 years and then if you submit any more applications you can just use that.

Thanks. Yea no letter for me. Just shows online that their Biometrics valid until Mar 2029. I submitted their application from Canada as well.

You might have slightly made my day. Last question- what was the lag between the online update (just the CIC account saying- March 2029 as validity for biometrics) and passport request. You might have answered this in your previous post- just want to hear from the horse's mouth again. Thank YOU!
