No this is not a ghost update.

Ghost update is only on the tracker, showing you there is an update, but actually there is nothing.

Does anybody know if you’re getting the AOR even weekends? Or do they only work from Monday to Friday? It’s government ;)
 
UPDATE: Yesterday (08-Feb-2024), I received a an email from IRCC inviting me to follow my application through the tracker. I made the account today and I can see that language skills, background verification, physical presence and prohibitions are in progress. But, I can't see when they switched to in progress as I couldn't access the tracker before today.

In the Application history section, I only see one item: Application filed (30-Jan-2024).

In progress is the default status for all of them.
 
@MMSR, I see. So this isn't the "In process" update or is it?

Edit: I just now noticed at the top of the page it says "Updated: February 1, 2024" and below that "Your citizenship application status: In progress".

Your test email would have application no. Using that and UCI you can create tracker account.
