Ok, thanks. But for Americamn citizens there is no need of visa right ? So it means he can enter with American passport. Do I need to update somewhere ( online or in person) later on with the canadian passport ?

My lpp is still in progress.. waiting for good news

My wife's L (language) was completed a week ago - the PPs are still pending.

The last time anything moved on her application before this was in May 2023...

They have now asked to clear older bsclofs so hopefully some momentum for us

American citizens are not eligible for an eTA, nor are they required to use one in order to enter Canada.

My security clearance was stuck pretty much since AOR, but it just suddenly got done about a week ago. Coincidentally, I applied for CSIS notes just about a week prior, so I am not sure if that has anything to do with it. It doesn't hurt I guess.

That's great news. My wife's CSIS notes came back saying information was withheld for some possible reasons including national security, and her background check is still running. I am wondering how well I know my wife now

Pretty much everywhere I read says IRCC don't do anything unless security (BG) is cleared. It's so weird that your wife got language and physical presence done already.

Very happy to share that we have completed our citizenship journey, attended Oath on Jan 30th, 2024. It was online, there were 146 attendees and took about an hour and half. Received citizenship certificates today for all family members including kids.

Application received: 6th Jan 2023
AOR: 13th Feb, 2023.
BG Completed: 13th April 2023
Test Completed: 24th May 2023
LPP completed: 11th Jan 2024
Oath status changed to "In Progress": 18th Jan 2024
Oath date update and instruction to download certificate: 18th Jan 2024
Oath invitation email: 19th Jan 2024
Oath completed: 30th Jan 2024.
Citizenship certificates received: 1st Feb 2024
