Same thing, I insisted to do the upfront because it was almost 7 months after AR. At some point she even said ok and never contacted me again until I received the MR (so she lied, because she is not the type that forget something like that for a client).

But I think they do that because the official waiting time is 22 months (even if the majority of the people finish before that). And the medical is valid only 1 year so if it's too early they think you'll end up to do it again 1 year later, losing time and money.

And i understand that but like in your case they should explain this and let the person choose if they want to risk it and do it early.

I think we should wait for MR otherwise u have to do it again before DM or travelling

if you are able to log on with gckey successfully, then check the details you are using on ecas tool, something must be incorrect. Look at all the details again and again.

IRCC just requests us to submit PCC from Singapore because we lived there for 6 years. Our PCC is in transit to Canada now but they don’t use registered mail so we don’t know when it will reach us. They said approximately 2-3 weeks. Now my question is since IRCC accepts soft-copy submission via webform or gckey account, can i request the Singapore police to send me a soft-copy via email and submit that soft-copy to Canada instead of waiting for the hardcopy then scan and submit to avoid delay? Yes they accept, make sure it is coloured, they might request it in colour and it will cost additional time.
