I got mine within a week ( applied before Covid). Normally, you can get the soft copy by accessing to the link they sent you. If you can get it in the link, i suggest you could send the soft copy via web form first explaining that you have not got the hard copy and send hard copy to them whenever you got it
The Covid timelines are actually not any longer from what I can tell. FBI received the fingerprint card on a Friday afternoon, acknowledged it was there Monday at 9:00 am (EDT) and by noon that same Monday the results were available from that email link. The letter they mail you is not needed really needed as far as I know, as it is the same as the digital one supplied through the link. Super easy process, despite the fact they denied the prints (too low quality - thanks local PD!) twice before approval.

I was advised that the current delays in processing may make it risky to go for an upfront; if the process goes over a year from your upfront, then they may ask you to do it again. But then, I would ask IRCC if I were you before getting the upfront.

Well i can say that you should wait for few more months. When u see they review your eligibility requirements and background checks then you can do as that time you are very close to conclusion.
