i have oath tomorrow and I am going to ask for urgent processing since i have travel plans. Not sure if I should ask for it or just get oath date moved. I’ll have 30 days after the oath before i fly out
Canada post was taking forever on deliveries during election season due to mail in vote volume. One of my mail took 15 days affer being posted within city.
I read that there are two ways to do it and one is to go to service Canada office in person. You can go to service Canada and ask for urgent passport. They can even do 2 days pickup. They charge you extra for that.
I am not sure if that is still true for first time passports.

I requested priority processing over the oath certificate email and mentioned on one-on-one during oath registration but clerk said Oath coordinator/supervisor will look at it and she is not the one to process on priority. Did you also have to ask for priority in email?

I did not ask for priority in email (only verbal) .My clerk mentioned that she will get my certificate sent next business day and I should receive in a week. Considering Sep 30 was a holiday, i would say it took exactly 5 business days for me.
