hi everyone, Is anyone there from Jan 2020 waiting for the test invite like me?I applied on Jan 27 2020..still waiting for the test invite.

My BG Completed on Jan 20,2021, No update after that. I called them yesterday and they told me, the Ottawa office received my application on May 18th . so lets see

LOL what's the point of doing this? It doesn't serve any useful purpose thereby making it completely unnecessary.

A better advise would be to ask the OP to apply for GCMS notes after a few months to see what's going on.

Quick question, if test rescheduled, will they need to redo anything else like do background check again or anything after few months?

I don't think so. However, if they aren't able to complete the process before validity of your criminality clearance (12 months from the date criminality clearance was issued), then they might have to get another criminality clearance. I'm not very sure if this is how it exactly works but it does make sense logically.

Thanks, so if i rescheduled they won't reset the whole application again? They just gonna call me to do the test like normal process?

That is the likely outcome, yes.

However, be warned that there is no guarantee that you'll receive another test invite "soon". Given the current delays, it might take a while before you receive another test invite.

I am also waiting for my test invite but I decided to also apply for my PR card renewed as I will be traveling in August. Does anybody here have applied for a PR renewed too? It says they received my application 3 weeks ago but I did not receive any communication whatsoever about my PR card. I am a but worried I might not get it by August!

I heard someone say that the current processing time is around 70 days (I could be wrong). You might want to check PR renewal thread to talk to people who have applied for PR card renewal recently.
