i applied citizenship last year, and no news yet. i just have acknowledge letter. I am currently outside of canada and not foreseeing to come back this year or next year.
are test, interview, oath ceremony are done online? If so, i wont have any trouble, but if I have to physically present in Canada, it will be very difficult as I can't do quarantine in both countries.
can you share your experience of test, interview, and oath ceremony? and is there any other event that I need to attend physically?
thanks!
What if you let them know that you are outside of canada and cannot come back to take the test within 21 days because of the covid situation (may be you can do it through the web form) , can they not just halt it for you and send you the invitation again when you are back ? Or if you do so, do u need to re apply and are they going to put you at the back of the line ?
May be you can call IRCC and ask them these.
If you call them, please share their answer here.
Thanks. Can you please update with my details as well:

You need to clear criminality before you get invited for a test.. the sooner you provide the FP the better and probably faster you can get invited for test.
My husband got his test invite on April 1. He is writing his test today actually.
Hello guys,
Does CIC give you acknowledgment upon the receipt of Finger print ?
My husband sent his in in November and never received a confirmation. But he did get his test invite on April 1. I imagine that is good news for him,
Question
I am currently in the US and need to enter Canada soon to give the citizenship test. Am I exempt from hotel quarantine if I come via the land border in Niagara? Thanks for the replies!

Looks like the hotel quarantine is only required for flying to Canada, I couldn't see any information about 3 night hotel quarantine for land crossing.
https://travel.gc.ca/travel-covid/travel-restrictions/isolation#quarantine
Flying into Canada – your quarantine period includes a mandatory 3 night pre-paid booking at a government-authorized hotel at your own cost.

Yeah exactly, strange loophole. Anyway I guess I will enter from Niagara then.
