Seems like CIC is processing applications received by Jan-31, this is just my guess

It wasn't a new application, though. This person's original application was sent in October 2019 and it was returned to them to make corrections. I wonder if they're processing those types separately. Like they want to make sure they're clearing everything related to 2019 to focus on 2020?

Maybe or maybe not , when your application is returned your received date is not the first date anymore but the second time they received your application after corrections . This person is a jan 2020 applicant not 2019 anymore just my guess, I may be wrong.

I think when an application is returned it starts fresh.

Yes, I saw more and more people across different channels (this forum, FB group) getting AORs for applications submitted in second half of January. Waiting for my Jan 17th submission with fingers crossed

Makes sense! That makes me more hopeful actually. I guess they officially started AORs for the period of Jan 20 - Jan31, woohoo!

Pre covid aor = 2 months after receiving at the mailroom... Post covid AOR is around 6 months...

My application was delivered on same date ! I saw some ppl get their AOR even though there applications were delivered at later dates...but as long as I'm not the only one waiting with same delivery date it's not that scary, lol
