If you call CIC and they tell you that they are processing applications before Jan 14th don't panic. They are not technically wrong. AOR doesn't count as processing and it doesn't mean that.
As I see almost all Jan applications are not in process yet and status is just application received.

That's what I think too. Next time when we call them we should clearly tell them we are looking for the AOR, not the "In Process" status - don't let them fool you!

just spoke to a CIC agent using my application no...successfully changed my address to Toronto from Saskatoon.

Can you confirm if the updated address reflected in ecas?
I am trying to see which is faster - calling to update or through online update at ecas

The online update takes 1-2 business days for the address to get changed.

ok, as long as its not taking weeks.
I will update it online as i dont want them to mistype the street number again. Looks like some officers are entering the information fast i guess as our mailing address is not updated from the old pr card address.

When was your application received? You might be a february applicant.
If you are not sure you should be able to see on eCAS with your application number.

do you know if IRCC processing applications who status was "received " before January 14th or "AOR" before January 14th ?

Its not showing the status based on payment receipt number(IMM 5401) but the application was accepted and showing status based on uci(& application number) hence we should not worry.

True. I did not expect it to be fast. I submitted the address change on friday and its updated on sunday.
Hopefully this speed continues.
