I got my GCMS notes few days back. its final narration states "APPEARS RFV".

can anyone assist what does it mean?

can Anyone tell me if its APPEARS RFV in the text, does it mean security is done as well and next step is ppr?

"APPEARS RFV" only appears in the eligibility note. It is based on eligibility, and has nothing to do with security.

if i change country of residence during my application...what other details will i have to update? for example bank account, employment details, police certificate?

Its a very good sign. Usually the passport validity and med validity is done during final review.

Currently the notes are being released within 1-3 weeks. So instead of speculation, just wait for the notes.

If you were requested for family info form, then most likely you must be in eligibility.

My question to you: My passport will expire in August 2021 (less than 1 year) and I am concerned about the passport renewal. What should I ideally do?
1) Get my passport renewed now and share my new passport details with IRCC through a webform
2) Sit tight and wait for PPR and COPR. Travel to Canada with the existing documents (in case my passport then has more than 6 months validity at that point of time
3) If the passport doesn't have 6 months validity at the time of PPR/COPR - apply for a new passport and submit both old and new documents for visa stamping and COPR

What you think would be the most efficient and straightforward approach without causing any additional delay to my application? Also, what do you think of where my profile stands in general?

As far as the questions you asked, if I may, I think you should wait for PPR or COPR. A friend of mine was asked last week to renew a passport that is expiring in October, so 2 months before expiry.

Hopefully you get PPR or COPR soon.

! year is more than enough. If your country of issuance allows renewal of passport that are valid for more than 6 months, then you can get it renewed. Once done, send the bio pages to IRCC via webform.

You should get the PP renewed as when you get the PRV and COPR, if your passport is expiring, and you get it renewed now, you won't have to worry about it when you arrive in Canada.

The passport does not cause any delays in the processing. However, the PRV or COPR cannot be issued beyond the passport validity date or the meds date, whichever expired before.

RFV (Ready for Visa), which means that the application is ready for the PR visa to be issued. What does page#2 of your GCMS look like?

You are right in your observation, but if you received a message to specifically submit imm5645e, which is usually used by TRV applicants, then you need not worry.

However, the information asked in both the form is the same. So no need to worry.

If you do want to sent 5406e, you can send it via webform. Though not required.
