Not that I know of but I've seen a few December 24th applicant getting AOR today in the December forum and Jan/Dec chat! Hopefully next week early January applicants will get some good news!
Does an AOR guarantee that your papers won’t be returned? Thank you
No AOR yet, I’m just worried about our papers getting returned, but I did double/ triple check our papers before sending them, but still you never know..
As per cic websites, last uodtae for check list is june 2018 but if you download recent checklist then you can find that last chexklistc update in december 2018.

I'm scared ours will be returned too... I'm nervous about the NOA I submitted and if it is acceptable. And now my mind is starting to question everything I did haha! I forgot to make new copies of the updated forms that we filled out so I'm hoping I didn't leave anything blank etc. Did you apply early January as well?

Yup, yup! I actually checked on December 31st right before I was going to send it off and saw the update. I did print and submit it but I've heard that they have a grace period if you don't have the updated form. Not too sure how long it is but I think 1 month or 2. So if you sent it in January and the update was made in Dec the grace period should apply! Buy yeah they should make clearer updates for those!

The only difference is one single line that says if applicable to your PA’s country, pay biometric fee along with RPRF. Rest of the form is the same word for word. I too have sent the old form. Keeping the grace period in mind, the fact that CIC themselves have not updated it on the website (only in the actual form has it changed) and that its such a minor change, it doesnt make sense for them to return the application especially if you pay the biometric fee anyways along with your application.
I really hope so too! I wonder if there is an F B group for January applicants. We should have one to make updates a bit easier. By any chance is there an excel sheet or something where updates can be made? Our time should be in the next week or 2 so it would be nice to have something to track progress a bit easier! I really hope this goes by smoothly and quickly for us all. IT IS STRESSING ME OUT SO MUCH WAITING!
