How long does it take to be updated on the profile?

It got updated for me in 4-5 hours after submitting biometrics at the VAC/VFS.

Didn’t get any email notification .
Just logged into account and where status was ur action is required changed to SUBMITTED and the biometrics column changed to completed !!

I got that same update within in one hour . Totally ignored VFS notification emails

Buddy I need you to explain to me what exactly is a ghost update ? What happens during this phenomenon?

People on this forum have told that they have not received any email notification when they cleared MEP .

BUT I logged in saw " Application updated " and saw MEP . The very next day after about say maybe 8 hours later I recierec and email notification stating that "my account has been updated"

SO I am guessing this HAD to be in relation to my MEP and it's NOT a ghost update.

Any other thoughts on this?

Ghost update: You will only notice this when you log in to MyCIC acct (NO email). There would be something like “application updated/(sth I forgot)” showing at your PR case instead of “submitted”, which is the status showing most of time. After opening the case and going back to the main page, the status goes back to “submitted”.

You won’t receive email notifications about MEP, but IP1 and PPR (or any additional infor needed by cic I guess).

The email you received should be for sth updated at the background section in your case. So I believe it’s IP1 but not for MEP, since IP1 usually comes along with MEP at similiar time and MEP itself won’t receive any email.

All correct. you only receive a email notification when you get a new message in your myCIC inbox , like BIL or AOR or ADR and so on.

Look at Immitracker. Some folks there have PPR already with AOR after 15th Jan.

(Just checked, its 3 cases, one of which is suspect)

Great! That's good to hear. I also had another doubt. Does BIL/Bio completed and IP2 stage indicate that process is almost nearly complete?

I ma having a look at FSW-O tracker dude! I only see one person with Jan 9th AOR and their current status is PPR.
