Hi all
My application was sent in Jan 11 and was processed on Mar 21.
Still to this date, I have not received an interview invite. I have emailed CIC and they are saying everything is fine and processing centre will contact me. Is it normal for a such long wait? I have moved a few months ago. But if they mailed/emailed you, there should be an entry online in your application status right? Any info is appreciated. Thank you.
Don't stress out...we are all in the same boat... My timeline is same as yours...we just have to wait...After one year has passed you can ask call center agent to email your local office and find out whats happening with your application...that might get it going again...few more weeks to wait!

I suggest to send a letter to your local office reminding them about your application it might be sitting there in a long queue. I don't understand how other applicants from Mississauga too applied in January and February got test invite and are citizens now . Me too will complete my one year in Feb 22,2019 Mississauga and I'm worried its takes longer I will send them a letter Mid of January reminding them. If we Mississauga applicants could email the immigration minister MR. Hussein to check out Mississauga office delay of processing citizenship applications. They promised its gonna be completed in one year and this is not whats happening. Any suggestion other than to be patient and wait

Thank you Zeina73 for your comment. The funny thing in my case is that 4 members of my family (siblings, parent) applied shortly before me (2-5 weeks) and they are all citizens, last of them in November. Although I agree with you on contacting Mr. Hussein, I don't think it will have any effect. Looking at my situation 1 out of 5 took longer than 1 year but 4 didn't. They aim at finishing in a year and about 80% in a year looks statistically fine to them and I don't think it matters to them if 20% took longer. How many people can we get to contact Mr. Hussein from the forum considering most people are already done. Mississauga center probably serves thousands of applicants, so if 10-20 people are not happy with their service, they won't care. I have seen people on this forum who did every possible thing after completing 1 year, 2 or more months past 1 year and they haven't received an update. This is absolutely unfair and annoying but there is nothing we can do but wait. Anyways, I am with the idea of sending a notification to Mr. Hussein if we can gather a good number.
CONGRATS.. Question I also ask for a name change and summit the legal certificate from Ontario.. How do you know your request was process.. Did they change your name in the ECAS.. I still waiting for my test invite. THANKS
After I submitted the document online via their IRCC webform, they sent me an acknowledgement notice 10 days later saying that they forwarded it to the responsible department. Your name will change in the ECAS although it may take a while. I don't remember how long it took though before the new name was reflected on there, but they will change it. I also had to have a change of address and it will also reflect there.

If you contact now thru webform and tell them you need to go to home country in Feb then they could give you a reply that still your application is in the 12 months processing timeframe .
Also now since you are getting closer to you date of application and if you tell you plans of travel your file could land in non-routine path where there is no control of anything.
