Passport arrived today in my hands, 9 am Calgary time. Going to the border (Coutts) today.

Passport received in Ottawa: Jul 11
Application approved: Jul 31
Return tracking number activated: Jul 31
Passport & COPR in my hands: Aug 01

Just a quick question to those who received the CoPR. Does Canadapost pickup your document around 5-6 pm Ottawa time? If that is true then I am not going to check my tracking number once a minute.

I wish I can receive it by tomorrow so that I can do my landing in the long weekend. But it seems like I still have to wait. During this PR process all we were doing is wait, wait and wait.

I went to Canadian Border yesterday!

first of all

you need
1 - ‘Passport’
2 - ‘Previous Permit everything that you had’
(Work permit, Student etc.. whatever)
3 - ‘Present Permit’
4 - ‘COPR letter from CPC Ottawa

Second,
I went to U.S Border and told them
‘I would like to do ‘Flag pole’ for
Canada Permanent Residence.
I will be back to Canada right away.

(U.S Border officer also knows about that)

(parking - enter U.S border office -
they said you need esta that is 3month visa for traveling)

fill out the form - finger print - taking photo
(I did not pay)

It took 20 mins
that’s it!

Third!
Back to Canada border.

-I would like to do Landing for Canada
permanent residence.
I have COPR paper.

(they asked me few questions)
-what did you do in US
(nothing, I did flag pole, came back here right away.)
-weapons ? drug ? animal ? etc..
No No No No No....

that’s it!
they gave me a Yellow paper.

parking- enter Canada Border Office.
and they will take a COPR with Photo and give you COPR paper without Photo.

some questions and informations.
It was very normal.

It was easy and not take much time.
around 20mins.

he applied work permit by online and was waiting for that.

make sure that you need to prepare all documents that you applied for next work permit.

as we know, It is a bit risky that go outside of Canada without proper permit.

Nobody can say you can go or can not.

for my experiences, you will be okay.

My temporary visa expired last month, but I have valid work permit. not sure I could still come back to Canada when I am doing my landing....
