Many many congratulations to SAZ-CAN, Cyma & Ghulam Hasnain. It's heartening to know that all of you are now moved to the last stage, i.e. landing. Wish you all best of luck.
If you plan to travel through PIA, the fares from LHR to Toronto are around Rs. 85,000 from 19th March to 9th of April. In the month of April the tickets are more costly. Reserve early to get benefits of lower category tickets. Emirates are in the range of 97,000. Whereas Eitehad are in the range of 78,000. This is adult fare rate.
Dear Forum Friends:
I was checking emirates flight schedule for KHI-Toronto where I learnt that there is 20+ hrs in transit wait at Dubai. My childred are very keen to have a look around in Dubai and visit one or two places. I also have my in laws in Dubai. Does any one know whether I can get 96 hrs visa at DXB airport or do I have to pre arrange the 96 hrs visa.
Thanks in advance.
regards,
Hasnain
Addendum to above post:
I was going thru Emirates Website where i came across "Dubai Connect" facility that states that in case of Economy Class passengers if connecting flight interval is > 8 Hrs than they offer Dubai Connect which consists of free transit visa, temporary hotel accomodation, meal vouchers and transportation to and from hotel. While using online booking from KHI-YYZ they offered connecting flight via DXB and timings were 12:10 KHI ~ 13:20 DXB (20:35Hours connection in transit at Dubai) next morning 9:55 DXB ~ 15:45 YYZ. So theoritically Emirates should offer Dubai Connect facility on such booking, regretfully on confirmation with Emirates they declined to offer on the presumption that there are other flights available with lesser in transit duration so why do you wish to opt for flight with more than 20 hr. transit. The question is why does Emirate offer such option online?? & what if I opt to book such flight thru my visa card.? Shall be grateful for suggestions / opinions / advise. Thank you.
Hasnain bhai, emirates can also arrange dubai visa

Hasnain bhai,
first of all, transit visa in not equal to visit visa. means you can not visit places while having transit visa. the logic of offer by the airline is that if for any reason you can not have a connecting flight before 8 hours then as per their law you have to have a transit visa.
hope this helps.

Yes...
Dear Friends,
Should we send letter with passports and return address label to Islamabad?
Please respond early.
Thank you,
Dear Senior Fellows
My Immigrant visa is valid until 5th May,2013. Me and my whole family will be landing on 11th Jan.2013 at Canada (Vancouver) for the first time. My Pakistani passports will be expiring on 23rd May, 2013. Can I renew the passport from Pakistan now and then leave for Canada or its not wise to do it now. Some one told me that your passport with Immigrant visa should not be cancelled until you land there.
Today,I visited the Passport office at home station, they told me that we can issue you an urgent passport in ten to 15 days and will not cancel this old passport. They will stamp it & I will attach it with the new one. So please advice what should i do. What is law ( passport applicable) for landing.?
Allah Hafiz!
