I did my Masters in Australia (1 Year, Feb/2014 to March/2015) and returned back to India and is now sitting in 467 points expecting ITA in the next draw. I understand that I'll have to get PCC from India. but
a.)Should i get Australian PCC as well? I was on student visa and lived exactly 1 year there.
b.)If it's required..How shall i proceed doing my Australian PCC from India.
I am sure few members must have faced this issue. How did ya'll handle this

Yes, you will have to PCC from Australia for your stay there (the type of visa does not matter). You can check this link for the procedure http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/security/police-cert/asia-pacific/australia.asp

You are correct but there is clouse in CIC pcc regulations.
Any pcc typically valid for one year.
From CIC website note: "Police certificates are typically valid for one year from the date they are issued."
. I have called CIC customer service they said all pcc should not be more than 6 months old.
Totally I am in confusion I.e reason safer side planning to submit latest one.

It does not say that anywhere. But it's up to you what you'll do.
As far as I know, there is no way to expedite the processing for PCCs. They don't take that long anyways. I had mine within 2 weeks, but that was delivered to an address in Australia.
I recommend you call the AFP and ask them what your options are.
