I put pictures together using microsoft word to fit between 2-4 pictures on a page and put explanations of the pictures on it. Is that ok? Or is it better to gave actual prints of the photos?

My husband did that (he was the sponsor) and it was fine! he was approved, so i'm sure it's good. If you do loose photos, make sure to label them with the year and where you were. I put a bunch of loose photos in my applicant part. I think either way is okay!
That's fine. So long as they can tell who's in the pictures and where the pictures were taken, things like that, it's fine. We printed most of ours two to a page with a caption under each one giving the date and location and identifying the people and how they are related to us. I think they'd actually prefer them on letter-sized paper so they will go through a scanner easily, but you can't glue pictures onto another piece of paper, because that would get stuck in the scanner.
