Hi,

I have posted this question few times in the Pakistan Outland thread, but no one has answered me yet. So I will try asking here.

We received a letter requesting 15-20 additional pictures of our ceremonies. Previously I sent only 15 pictures of our wedding and reception, and then 5 pictures of the honeymoon. It was very difficult to choose which ones to send.

Now they are asking for more. I have chosen almost 30 pictures and put them in a Word document. Reduced the size of the pictures so I can fit at least 6 on one page and this also helps reduce the file size (4MB is all that's allowed online).

Marriage photos: Marriage photos 15-20 photos including: wedding ceremony; signing
of contract; customary celebrations (PA and spouse). This must be received at this office by:
2017/08/11

My Question is, last time we were asked to write names of the people in the picture and the occasion. Do I have to do the same this time? I have read the pdf letter tons of times to figure out if they asking it this time or not. I have written what the occasion is under each picture, but not the names of the people. Should I do that? Is it the same criteria as at the time when I submitted 20 pics with the package?

Please, give me some advice. I don't want to waste time. This is all I have left to upload and submit documents online.

Thank you.

Even if you are writing the names, I think they asked to write only name of PA and his or her DOB right? No need to write names of all persons in the photo. That's what I did when I sent our photos with the application.

@AHC

That's right you only need to write the PA's name and the PA's DOB and a brief explanation of the photograph. You don't need to write down the names of everyone in the picture. In the description you can just use words such as my/his aunts, cousins, relatives, friends, etc, but you don't necessarily have to mention everybody in the photo's names.

So his name and DOB under each and every picture or just at the top?

Btw, where do u see PA name and DOB criteria? Were u all also asked for additional picx?

No I wasn't asked for additional pictures. This criteria is based off the checklist (IMM 5533) that we all had to tick and mail with our application package. It specifically says to write PA's name, PA's DOB, and a brief background explaining what is happening in the picture. You need to write this for each and every photo.

but nothing is written in this request .. u know what i mean? should i really spend that much time writing names again ?? i am writing the whats happening in the picture ...... ughhhh i hate this!!!!!!!! :'(

Hi AHC,
I will give you sincere advice being the sponsor and knowing the culture of Pakistan.

If you assume yourself as a visa officer, think for a minute, what you would be looking?

Where it was held?
In house or Hall/Banquet?
How many people attended?
Immediate family were there or not?
Contract signing?

The much you will put into your file, the more you would be benefited. Now it's up to you, how you want to present your case. There is no harm in writing the relation, it might consume your time but worth writing, as then you would not be regretting, if VO raises any objection that you have not labelled it properly. It's possible that for others It might not have been an objection, but every situation and cases are different, do not try to match with others. Do what you like, you are not restricted to take suggestions, but compile all all of it and do what you like the most. While filing the application, me and my husband thought to just submit 20 but the time when we started selecting the pictures, it went onto 55 or couple of more. Picture counts alot, you can submit 50 of your selfies, but it would not count as it depends what you are submitting and this what my husband pointed out. This is what we took care, while we were submitting our own. We put few of our solo pictures, but our main focus were the group photos, while doing any ritual, entrance, rukhsati, dancing, these are important catchers. Pictures in which the faces were not clear, I just wrote it like overall as cousins and friends, but those which were clear, I wrote each and every ones name with the relation, even if there were 15 people.

Not sure, if you have given, but submitting hall, catering receipts , showing group pictures or with family friends on special moments counts alot.
So my only suggestion would be take your time any do not leave any loopholes so you can be at ease.
