Hi kakkarh,
Woke up this morning with my first acknowledgement from IQAS
My docs and application were delivered on 6th december and today os 23rd january....so you can expect around a month + 2 weeks for the AOR..

Yup..I have sent everything together... transcripts and application...r we suppose to receive 1st and 2nd AOR together as we have sent everything at once?

I called the IQAS yesterday and have just received my ECA. My timeline is:

Documents Delivered: 6th November, 2017
AOR (both): 11th December, 2017
ECA Softcopy: 22nd January, 2018
Date of Completion, mentioned on ECA report: 3rd January, 2018

I called them yesterday, but the lady on phone said that it will take 12 to 13 weeks. However, when I got up in the morning, the ECA was there in my email.

The number I called on is 001 780 427 2655

Our's timeline have 6 days gap, but i have not received soft copy yet, it seems IQAS responds to frequent emailers/callers
Anyways hoping to hear fro them with soft copy in a day or 2.

My wife got second AOR on 23 Nov and she had not received her ECA as yet.

Hardcopy Of ECA: Don't need it

I guess so...why would they send seperate AOR when everything is in the same package and they have acknowledged its receipt!I believe 2 AOR comes into play when university sends them the transcripts directly..

Only have final marks sheet / transcript of the Maters and the degree has not been issued till date and it might take another year or so. Can i go along for ECA on the basis of the Transcript only.

Hello,

Applying for immigration and honestly, it's total nonsense on the ECA front.

I was led to believe that IQAS would evaluate my law degree correctly. I looked up their FAQ and yes, they did award law degree from India as the Master's equivalent - which would help me get more points.

Hence, I went in for them.

A BIG mistake.

Took more than 2 months to evaluate. And finally, they REFUSED my provisional degree and cancelled the application. The reason they stated was "my degree was not awarded till my convocation takes place". Failed to explain a provisional degree is the same as a final one.


WES, on the other hand, accepts both provisional and final degree - everyone knows provisional degrees are equivalent to final degrees. It's awarded at first by the university and, after a year or two, the final degree certificates get sent.

Sure, WES fuck*d up too - gave me a Dual Bachelors' degree than a Master's one. I got around 7 points less, but the process was much faster. I had to nudge them twice, and they were 2 days late than promised, but they did it, and now I am just waiting for my ITA, with 465 points.

Just wanted to let you guys know to avoid IQAS at all costs. Delayed my process by around 3-4 months in total. Others are worse and take as much as 6 months processing time!

There seems to be no reliable evaluation agency, but if you've to go for one, WES seems to be the best bet.
