My friend bought house upfront, n application faster than me around 1 year!!

It is always better to have a property sooner rather than later. We’ve already bought one as property prices are rising sharply in Montreal now after Vancouver and Toronto. It also shows without doubt that you will settle in Quebec so file processing is easier that way. My real estate agent was absolutely fantastic, showed us the nicest homes in our budget, bargained for us, did all the legwork and helped us choose the best house. She is fantastic and i cannot recommend her highly enough. She saved us from dubious sellers and guided us throughout the process. Let me know if you want her company details.

She also helped us find mortgage agents, insurance agents and house evaluators. She knew that we didn’t know anyone so she put us in touch with reliable companies and individuals and basically made life very easy for us. Right down to the notary was handpicked and we ended up meeting a lot of very nice people whose advice and help made it easy to purchase a property in a foreign land. Wow that’s wonderful . Did you go for a condo or a detached/ semi detached ? If I may ask ? How much you had to pay upfront and how much loan were you able to obtain and at what rate (you being a foreigner still)
