That is what I understand. One officer sends your app to another officer and gives them a due date to start elegibility.

Well, some of us still are waiting. No news since March. The only update I have since they started eligibility back in March is that, the day of my medical results expired, my status changes to: you do not need a medical exam...on November 20th 2019.

Nothing else after that, and I don't believe I will see movements before February or March 2020.

No news here either. Last time we got info, the eligibility wasn't even started. It look like the due date is March 2020, which is weird considering we applied in August 2018.

You need to request the notes of your file. They will email it to you about a month after the request with a month old data.

Yes the GCM notes. You should see the due date under pretty much every section. I posted an exert earlier from the eligibility section of the notes. the due date is in there.

Hi, i am entered Canada with visitor visa, i was married in July 2017 with citizen, then we applied family sponsership file but that time my visitor visa expire, is any problem ?, to get principal approval ( AIP ), already 17 months pass still bck cheak since May 19, got SA approved on March 19.
Pls pls share your knowledge is problem with vistor visa expire before applying file ?
