Scheduled for February 23, 2017 : Etobicoke office. So they took about 3 weeks to book the appointment for us.

Friday the 3rd i became permanent resident. Good Luck to you all.
Very easy landing interview.
Got registered and handed 2 chit for waiting list E and D.
D checks if you had paid the fee then you go right at the window
with the E chit and they asked you a few question before granting the PR. I was with my wife.
Yes ID it's a must for the address check up. Proof of Canadian citizenship for her who sponsored me.
Initials on a few boxes. Then signature and everything it's ok.
After 1 hour i got my new SIN. GOOD LUCK and thanks for everyone's personal experience.
Congrats Claudio! Thank you for sharing. How does it feel?

More good news. Congrats PSTSC. Think since I am in Toronto that my husband will be landing in that office too. Wow, 3 weeks...thanks for the info.
Hello all,
Could someone please tell me: is there a way for my husband to apply for a work permit if we applied for out-land spouse sponsorship? He doesn't have any job offers at the moment, and we're not planning on going to Canada anytime soon unless he can get the work permit. I don't understand but it seems like the work permit pilot program is only for those applying in-land.
Regards,
just called CIC ...application is approved ....ask to wait 2 - 6 weeks for landing letter...way to go

Regards,
He would need a job offer under lmia. The work permit through spousal sponsorship is only for inland applicants
