Hi guys, yesterday I had landing interview in Kitchener and become a permanent resident of Canada

A landing date letter came via regular mail only a few days earlier because they first sent letter to my old adress. So if you wait longer for landing date do not hesitate to call CIC and make sure that everything is ok
Congrats to Sonja/srbij on landing Friday past. Thanks for giving us your feedback on your status.
I have updated your status on timesheets.
@confrentis and sonja,
I noticed you have both applied for OWP. May I ask when you gotten your OWP in the mail? I would like to update the timesheets accordingly.
Much appreciated.
Screech339
OMG! OMG! OMG! After I've been waiting for 7 weeks (it has been missing in the mail), finally I got it!!!
@screech339, please update that I received my OWP today 16Dec'13!
Thanks so much!!!
@screech339
My DM came shortly after the AIP so I had no need to apply for OWP, so I save 150$

In Kitchener landing office they give me temporary SIN immediately after the interview and told me that now I can start to working

That's good news to hear. However I don't think the SIN you received is a temporary SIN, unless it begins with a 9. If it starts with a number 4 or 5, then it is a permanent SIN.

I've got a letter from CIC TODAY !! So glad... as I was worried a bit about delays..
Not sure if this is a landing interview. It sounds like final determination interview and will be done in Calgary CIC Building (Harry Hays Building)
This is what the letter says:
"Your final determination interview has been scheduled at the above address on Jan 2014.
Pleaase present this letter upon your arrival.
...
If you are subject to and have not yet paid the RPR fee of 490.00 you must do so on the day of your interview"
And I need two immigration photographs for this interview as well.
Here are my few questions to you guys.
- What is this interview? Is this a landing interview?
- What is RPR fee that I need to pay?
- What kind of questions are they going to ask me?
- What would I expect after this interview??

Congrats on getting your landing letter. What day is the landing interview?
When did you get Decision Made? Strange that you get a landing letter before getting a DM?
Screech339
@ over_jj,
I think that you got a positive DM, because you are asked to pay RPRF and to bring 2 photos. Congrats.
- What is this interview? Is this a landing interview?
Yes, I think so.
- What is RPR fee that I need to pay?
Right of Permanent Residence Fee (RPRF) $490-. Have you already paid it when you sent your application? If yes, you should bring your receipt.
(Sponsorship application $75, Principal applicant $475, RPRF $490. Total = $1040. <- If you don't have any dependent. )
- What kind of questions are they going to ask me?
Maybe, general questions.
Have you ever been charged/convicted of a crime or offence?
Have you ever been refused admission to Canada or required to leave Canada?
Do you have any dependents?
- What would I expect after this interview??
You will receive your COPR. You might get your SIN at the same day. You will wait for PR card.

Not exactly remember how much we paid when we apply, but I think I paid already when I sent my application pkg. Will double check to find a receipt!
Glad it's a positive interview
Thanks Tomorisu

Hi Screech,
AIP received Oct 21st. We didn't get a letter or email about DM. However when I checked online it says "Decision Made" since week of Oct 28th. We're waiting an official DM letter or email since then.
We came back from work and found a letter from CIC yesterday.
Glad it's a landing interview.
It's Jan 22nd 2014 in Calgary.
Hope everything goes well.

Thanks for your feedback on your timeline history. It is rather odd that you didn't get your DM email from CIC. Anyway since you were absent of an email, I used Oct 28 has the DM date.
Congrats on getting your landing.
