Sounion, did you went to get your temporary SIN? I did. I just showed my OWP and my passport. Service Canada asked names of my parents. They gave me a confirmation paper and my temporary SIN card will be sent within 10 working days.

Did they tell you what your number was on the spot or did you have to wait 10 days before you knew the number?

Well, my situation might be a bit unusual. Because I had a work permit and a temporary SIN about 10 years ago, the number on the confirmation is same as old one. As you know, it starts from 9.

Hello everyone,

Just 10 minutes ago my hubby received a email from CIC stating that he met eligibility of being a sponsor...we were so excited and happy and we cried a bit ..so I assume I should receive a AIP email soon ??

I will keep you guys posted if I get my AIP email....I am crazily happy now...hubby said he wants some shots..haha...

anyway...still in excited shock now..although we have been waiting for so long...certainly appreciated all helps I got on this forum...you guys are so wonderful ...

Hello Everyone，
I just got my AIP and my husband got his DM today. We applied on Dec 11, 2012.
Now we are waiting for the office in London ON to contact us by mail.
Does anyone know how long usually from DM to landing?
We are wondering if we should apply OWP. Cause we think maybe my husband will land before receive OWP.

This is my first reply, but I come to this forum almost everyday.
After seeing all the good news from you, finally I can post something good for myself.

This is great they are working on almost the last few days of Dec that apps would have been received.

We are pleased to advise you that procesing of your application has been completed. The Canada Immigration Centre in Scarborough will contact you concerning your permanent resident status.

Is there anyone that knows how long I should wait for Scarborough office to contact me ??? thanks~
