We received Decision Made yesterday (after filing our application nearly 20 months ago and nearly 9 months since AIP). We are very happy. It may have been a coincidence, or not, but once we got our MP engaged on our file, we received DM within 2 weeks. Something to consider for those whose file has exceeded the estimated time.

We are now awaiting contact from the Ottawa office for a landing appointment. Anyone have any experience on wait times between Decision Made and receiving a letter from Ottawa and scheduling of landing?

I was sent my DM via email and my landing appointment was scheduled via phone. It took about a month from when I got the email to get the phone call, so just be patient.

Congrats on getting a landing date. I haven't seen any of your postings regarding getting DM or getting a landing letter.

Could you please let me know what day you received DM and when you are landing so that I can update your status on spreadsheet

The usual 3 questions asked at landing;

Have you been denied entry to any country? Have you been convicted in canada during your stay? Do you have any other children not listed in COPR.

Been FOREVER since ive posted...which is the speed CIC works at but just wanted to update you that we received letter from CIC on July 2nd that they will contact us soon to set up our landing interview. SOOOOO exciting!!!!! not long now....

Hello everyone, I'm sooooo excited to report we receive our landing interview last week via email. Our appointment is Tuesday July 22 in the afternoon!!!!! It took a month and a half since DM. Super excited about this but still nervous thinking about the interview

Don't be nervous, it's not an interview in the sense of they are questioning you, only an interview in the sense that you will be sitting with your landing officer! It's a very simple process, 3 questions and you are done!

The landing letter requires original identity documents, my husbands passport was detained when he filed for refugee status and it hasn't been returned. He had a stamped copy saying original copy, will tha suffice or will there be an issue? Anyone know?

That is a good question to ask. I really can't say as I really don't know the answer to that at all. Can't say one thing or the other.
