That's what I'm thinking. I have an expired SIN from my old work permit but I don't think I will bother
It will be nice to have a SIN without a 9 in front
Hope you get your landing date soon.
I'm hoping mine won't take too long either. Halifax doesn't seem busy. That could be a good or bad thing. They might wait for a bunch of us together

ya it would be nice to get rid of that 9 eh! so we wouldn't feel like second class citizens lol (joking),.. but ya they usually try to put bunch of people together unless they are not busy at all then they might just give you a landing date alone.

We will just have to wait and see.
It's funny, before I got AIP, I kept saying how happy I would be with AIP. But once you have that you want more.
Let me know when you get word on your landing

you got second stage! you will be getting a letter in a day or two!. its funny how you and lap had to wait little longer than other for AIP but you got second stage right away with AIP ;D

I think all of us from 2011 have at least aip or second stage. so hopefully we will get the landing interview soon! we should all have a party after the landing interview lol

How many days the mail did be deliveried from CIC to your mail box?

It was mailed on Oct 1st and I got it today so you should have yours in the next day or 2

I'm all ready for the party but we have one more 2011 Aip to wait for. LauraCanada is still waiting.

I am really happy to get this news after checking the cic website. As Lab said, since u get this, then u expect the next process coming fast. haha.
That's why we all are expecting the landing letter now. Especially my visa will be expired in Dec.
But when i call CIC, they said, local office would send it within 2 months... So.. Another waiting time.

Hi everyone,

I was asked by Cic to provide the updated police clearance which I post them today. My case was move to local office few weeks back but they did not gave us aip and did not call for interview either. Can they approve both stages together? We also sent a doc letter as my wife is expecting twins, I am so happy for that. Plz pray for us.

If you were asked for the police clearance then it sounds like they are working on the second stage. I will pray for you.
