Hi Rajatrurka,

Yes you can still get it in one day.
My passport was also issued in India and I was able to get the PCC on the same day from CGI

one more thing. do they ask for the reason of emergency. ? cause i heard that is called as emergency service from CGI toronto

I dont think they will ask any such thing. They did not ask me anything though.

PCC issued in Canada does not has photo on it.

Mine went very smooth yesterday.. It took only 15 mins to get my PCC at Toronto as I already prepared all documentation well.

Go to Toronto CGI with the following docs

1. Application for PCC - 1 copy
2. PCC reference form - 3 copies with your photo pasted on it (photo spec - 3.5*3.5 cm)
3. Valid passport
4. Valid work or study permit
5. Address Proof
6. Money order for 91 CAD
7. Copies of your passport's first and last page

7. Have them arranged and check it at counter 6
8. Submit it at counter 4

Tats it... Will take 30 mins max to receive your PCC.

In my case they didnt request any photos. Still i got PCC.
Even in their office , checklist doesnt say photos anywhere.

You should include 3 photos even they did not mention it.

Got my PCC from CGI. The process was easy asked to fill out only 2 forms PCC and reference (NO extra sets asked). Didn't even asked for any photos. The only issue was have to submit the docs in morning as was asked to collect between 3-4 same day. All in all everything was simple and easy got PCC in single day.


PS- Make sure you have your draft and photocopies of all documents ready as the Canada Post gets busy in morning and you might end up missing the submission time.

Guys yesterday I went to the Consulate General of India in downtown, Toronto to get the PCC for myself and my wife...

See below the List of the Documents which is required as per them:-
1. Application for PCC - 1 copy
2. PCC reference form - 1 copy
3. Valid passport
4. Valid Status document
5. Address Proof
6. Money order for 91 CAD
7. Copies of your passport's first and last page

Have them arranged and submit the docs at counter 7 (this can change, they will tell you at the reception)then they will do the research weather they can give you the PCC or not and then they call you to deposit the Bank Draft.

There was a waiting of 1 Hr yesterday so we went went out for lunch and by the time we were back it was prepared.

So in total it took us 1 1/2 Hr to get the PCC
