Police clearance certificate from BLS Toronto

Hello All,

I have got my AINP and I am now applying for federal immigration. One of its requirement is Police clearance certificate from India. I am currently living in Alberta and I have got my PCC from India through my dad who is staying there. Just have confusion, if I have to get PCC from BLS or its ok if I have it done personally from India?

Just wanted to know..will the BLS office keep my indian passport and work permit with them or they will return it to me immediately over the counter after verification and just take the photocopies for the purpose of indian PCC??

Thats too much of a hassle. I wouldn't want to give out my original passport and work permit. I wouldn't mind photocopies. That is the reason I would rather get my PC from India and not BLS.

I sent my original passport and photocopy of my work permit with PCC application to Vancouver Indian consulate. I got it back with no problem!

No Consulate in Vancouver. I live in Saskatchewan so I had to send it to Vancouver. If you check BLS website they will tell you how to do that. I'm not sure how to do it in person.

Do we have to send the Personal Particular form with the Checklist, Police Clearance Certi. form and Referal form?

Is the Personal Particular form required as it states in the Checklist?

Nowhere in the current checklist (for Toronto and Ottawa jurisdictions) have they asked for Personal Particulars form (needed only for Vancouver).

AFAIK, here goes

Vancouver - Application form + Personal Particulars form
Ottawa/Toronto - Application form + Ref. form

Hi guys- has anyone had to do a police clearance done from India? I am not sure I need one but I wanted to know if anyone could help me there.

I plan to apply on April 30, 2017, they need a police clearance done if in the last 4 years I have stayed in any other country for 183 days or more which means the period of April 30 2013- April 30 2017. I stayed from India 27th June 2012 to 5th June 2013. So I did stay 6 months in 2013 in India but only 2 months actually fall in the 4 year period.

So is it safe to say that I do not need a police clearance done from Indian consulate?
